Manu Venugopal is an integrations expert at Autodesk and focuses on designing and architecting system integrations and solutions for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. He joined Autodesk BIM 360 team in 2012, where he led the API level development and integration of BIM 360 platform with technologies and services for AEC industry including Enterprise Resource Planning, Product Lifecycle Management, Document Management, Project Controls or Facilities Management Systems.
Prior to joining Autodesk, Manu worked as a researcher with various industry organizations in developing BIM standards, workflows and implementations. Manu finished his Doctoral degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, under the tutelage of Professor Chuck Eastman. His doctoral research introduced a new software engineering methodology aimed at improving the model exchange semantics and was funded by a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) grant. He also has a Masters degree in Computational Science and Engineering from the College of Computing At Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech, Manu was involved in a variety of engineering projects involving Building Information Modeling (BIM) at the Digital Building Lab headed by Professor Chuck Eastman and co-authored the Precast National BIM Standard (PCI NBIMS). Manu has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications.
