Autodesk Cloud Accelerator 2 and BIM 360 API

By Manu Venugopal

The second Autodesk Cloud Accelerator program was held from June 1 - June 12 in Autodesk San Francisco Office. Around 10 partners from around the world spend two weeks developing their applications on Autodesk Cloud Platform. I had the opportunity to attend the kick off and spend time with some of the developers discussing the BIM 360 APIs and the potential for integrations using the same.

Stephen Preston (above) Senior Manager of DevTech Worldwide, kicked off the Cloud Accelerator 2 along with Jim Awe, Chief Architect - Autodesk. Over the next two weeks, Developers from these partner companies got a chance to work intensively on their chosen project with the help, support and training of the Autodesk Cloud Engineering teams. The projects involved the use of any Autodesk cloud technology API – View and Data, Autodesk BIM 360, AutoCAD I/O, Autodesk InfraWorks 360 or Autodesk ReCap. It is such a great opportunity to accelerate your development with face-to-face advice and support from Autodesk cloud technology experts.

On the second day, Jaime Rosales (below), Senior Developer Consultant, gave the attendees an in-depth overview of the BIM 360 platform and APIs. There were projects/applications being developed ranging from pre-construction and planning functionalities leveraging BIM 360 Glue APIs to data analytics and performance monitoring of construction projects using BIM 360 Field APIs.
